Israeli court: Family can have dead soldier's sperm

While I think the social implications of this have not yet been explored. I'm curious as to how the surrogate mother will feel when her son is born. Will she simply give the child to the man's parents? Or, as I suspect, will she have some deep attachment to this child who is as much hers as the parents? How involved will they be in his upbringing if she does decide to raise him? Could there be a future legal battle for custody, seeing as how the sperm is now "owned" by his family, do they have any rights to the product of that sperm?

The questions are endless..
