In the beginning....

On the first day of Paramedic school my teacher gave to me..

14 new textbooks and a 2 chapter reading assignment.

....................

Well school has started. I approach it with a sense of cautious optimism.
A&P is said by many to be the most grueling part of the program. Good thing they hit that with you right in the beginning.

For those not in the know. I shall have about 5 1/2 months of didactic (classroom) including midterms and finals, 180 hours of Clinical internship (in an ER), and 460 hours of Field internship (working 911 calls on a rig). After that I still have to take the national registry test.

My friend Paul didn't get into the same program and is taking another. Too bad really, I was looking forward to studying with him, and now we'll be working on slightly different material.

Luckily the drive is going against traffic, so the commute is reasonable.

All other systems are nominal.
